Our TOP TEN YA Heartbreakers and Heroes for 2011

With a title like that it doesn’t really come as a surprise that we debated about this list quite a bit. The only thing we could agree on was that we needed to put aside our long burning series loves. Thus rule #1: The hero/heartbreaker nominations had to be featured in a book we loved during 2011. Not just someone who we hoped would make an appearance.  This led to the discovery that we’d all read A LOT more YA PNR & UF books than adult novels. Even worse was the shocking realization that if we had to narrow down the hotties from both YA and Adult novels, we’d be missing out on a lot of hotness. Case in point: Charlaine Harris’ Dead Reckoning did not make the cut this year. And for the first time in everyones’ memory that would mean even if we did do both genres one very hot Viking was off our hot list.

Eric Northman we just couldn’t allow that.

Decision made!

Here they are:

2011′s Top Swoon-worthy Heartbreakers and Heroes:

Disclaimer: The topic of YA hotties is dangerous territory. We realize we are taking our lives in our hands, and know that this often leads to scary comments and tweets as passions flair and loyalties are tested. No threatening to burn down our village, please. We all have to live here.

Enjoy and Happy New Year from all of us at BookCrack to everyone celebrating today and those who have already ushered in 2012!
